North to New York (Part 8)

Our last day in Victor was a blustery, cold day and so, we decided to hike to the lake and the back of the property!

The morning started with “speed Scrabble” before the bus.

But before that we had to make a quick shopping trip for Uncle Bill’s new watch and return a couple of items at the Mall and went to Pittsford Farms Dairy and Bakery to indulge in some ice-cream. Then we returned home and decided to make a hike up to the back of the property to show Bill the spread. There was a huge tree down that smashed one of the bike jumps and we also saw some ducks on the lake. Julie found the only golf ball and we were all glad to get back to the warmth of the house.

In the bleak mid…Fall.
In the cold wind Bill was so happy he smiled!

Later that afternoon after the bus deposited the boys we all went in the house where we built puzzles, played darts, Scrabble, had a Paka Battle, did some light block building and the associated destruction thereof, played several hands of solitaire, watched “Is it cake”, played darts, played pool and read books before bedtime…. NOT! First we partook in Vinny’s birthday dinner of steak, Cesar salad, and wilted greens.

One happy Vinny!

After dinner the boys, and Uncle Bill played the new Nintendo Switch 2 that was a prized birthday present. The graphics were a huge upgrade as well as being able to roam the landscape away from the race.

Cook IV shows off his speedy play.
Trenten is pacified by the new Switch 2 games.

It was our last night and the first signs of sadness were just below the surface of our goodnights.

And it was morning and evening the fourth day!
