All around us the birds were busy singing, working on nests, and feeding young. One morning a snapping turtle came up from the river to lay eggs. Our least favorite visitors were the bugs which really only bothered us during the day when it warmed up.

I love your photos of the birds. You are quite a skilled photographer.
Mr. Crawford, perhaps my powers of observation were sharpened by the interruption of your classroom featuring Mrs. Bates and Mr. Russell’s explosive confrontation. After which you had everyone put into writing what they had just witnessed. It made me pay more “attention” to my surroundings.
