Moose River -Part 3

All around us the birds were busy singing, working on nests, and feeding young. One morning a snapping turtle came up from the river to lay eggs. Our least favorite visitors were the bugs which really only bothered us during the day when it warmed up.

Cedar waxwing
Banded Chestnut sided warbler
Indigo Bunting
Black flies were the worst!
Best use for a Folgers Coffee can!
Moose River Plains was truly magical!

    1. Mr. Crawford, perhaps my powers of observation were sharpened by the interruption of your classroom featuring Mrs. Bates and Mr. Russell’s explosive confrontation. After which you had everyone put into writing what they had just witnessed. It made me pay more “attention” to my surroundings.
