We met up with Tom & Patty in Missouri at Silver Mines Campground in the Mark Twain National Forest. It was the maiden voyage for Tom’s new truck camper. Lucy also joined us on the trip. There had been heavy rains prior to our arrival and the St. Francis River was a rushing torrent but we saw it drop about 5 feet during our stay. We enjoyed good company, delicious food, short walks, and the “first letting of water off the grey water tank” when the shower wouldn’t drain in Tom’s camper (:

That looks like a sweet set up right there!!
Good times for sure! How come Tom is not using a wooden stick?
I posted a comment last week or at least thought I did. We had a great time at Silver Springs campground with David and Rebecca. The food and libations were par excellence and we enjoyed being with David and Rebecca a couple of days just hanging out. David helped me with some things and the issue of the grey water surprised me. There must have been water in the tank from when I had picked up the camper that I wasn’t aware of. The grey tank capacity is only about 14 gallons so unbeknownst to me it had reached its capacity. As for the hiking stick, I got the collapsible ones a few years ago for the trip to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland since I needed them to fit in a suitcase. Looking forward to another outing when the opportunity comes.
