We next headed to the red rock canyons of Caprock State park located along the edge of the Llano Estacado and where the buffalo roam. One of the things we did this time was explore a little known road on the edge of the park that is not designed for the average vehicle. On the county side of the road we were able to collect some beautiful specimens of fibrous gypsum. David always lovingly stores in the various bumpers of the van all my specimens of rocks that I collect.
