Pine Creek Gorge – Pennsylvania

The Pine Creek Gorge, sometimes called the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, is a 47 mile gorge carved by Pine Creek. It is a beautiful area with trails, waterfalls, and stunning vistas. We camped for 3 days in Leonard Harrison State Park and took several hikes alongside scenic waterfalls and lush forests. We hiked to the bottom of the gorge and walked along Pine Creek where we saw numerous species of birds including American redstarts, Baltimore Orioles, Goldfinches, and vireos.
