Our last night in the park was at the campsite Ojo Escondido which was set in a box canyon and yielded the amazing sunset view shown above. As the sun started to set it lit up the box canyon like we were parked in an amphitheater and the show was about to begin and indeed it did! A majestic red-tailed hawk flew in to roost on the craggy rocks above us and we went to sleep to the winds softly blowing across the desolate landscape. Big Bend is truly a magical place with a feeling all its on!
