We stop for the second water craft inspection of the day at the Lewis Lake Campground ranger station and we are very excited to finally arrive in the park. Just on the other side of the campground loop lurks three very excited children that await our arrival. We pull in and the scooters that have been in the back of the van for over 1,500 miles come out and Avi and Bryce are busy scooting up and down the the campground loop road emitting the joyous sounds of playing children. Niko is quickly ensconced on the sofa in the K2R2. There are hugs all around and we are all talking about the adventures that were encountered on our passage here and our upcoming adventures in the park together.
While the adults worked on a meal of grilled hamburgers for our dinner Bryce enjoys a microwave mac and cheese. The three “utes” entertained themselves in various ways. Avi built his “home” on top of the bear box.
Our appetites satisfied we are ready for our big plans for the next day.
