Palo Duro Canyon

Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon in the United States at 120 miles long and approximately 800 feet deep. Erosion has shaped the land and a panoramic view of magnificent color has been revealed. The Red River war took place here and forced the Southern Plains tribes to surrender their way of life once and for all. Afterwards Charles Goodnight came into the canyon to establish his JA Ranch.
