Less than three miles across the Rip Van Winkle bridge on the eastern side of the Hudson river Olana, home of Frederic Church, towers above the eastern hilltops.

Here preserved with all the furnishings intact is as Frederic wrote to a friend, “the center of the universe and I own it!”. Persian influences from Frederic’s travels abroad abound throughout this architectural masterpiece. It is easy to see why it is one of the most visited historical landmarks in New York.
