We concluded our week with Niko with a stop in the Panhandle. Niko enjoyed our drive from New Mexico into Texas talking about “one-horse” towns and the oil fields. Our destination was Palo Duro Canyon where we had tickets to see the Texas Outdoor Musical in the outdoor amphitheater. We stayed in Canyon and also took in the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum which Niko really enjoyed especially the frontier town.
We really enjoyed our trip with Niko. He was a great traveler and a real trooper on that long drive through West Texas. Having all those travel snacks helped I’m sure. I’m still finding Skittles in various crevices of the K2R2!
