We had 2 days of hiking planned but unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. However, we powered on and hiked anyway despite a bit of a rainy day followed by a rather cool day. Our first hike was to the Natural Bridge, which we hiked in a drizzle. The trail winds through a beautiful forest of trees and rhododendrons and ends below the massive arch. To get up on top of the arch you have to pass through a natural fracture in the rock, hopefully you didn’t eat a big meal that morning 🙂

I’m surprised there has not been a move to “widen” the fracture so that “girth challenged” people will be able to walk through as well. Looks like you all had a wonderful time on your trip!
