Moving Along Part 2

K2R2 is here!
We were birding in the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge around noon 29th April 2020. The avian spring migration was just passing its peak in all of its glory on the Texas Gulf Coast. It had been an excellent day of birding. Our list that day eventually topped out around 50 birds.
The dreaded mid-day birding lull was upon us. We were sitting in our camp chairs at a bend in the boardwalk on the Bobcat Woods trail. We had been “homesteading” this bend in the trail for the past few days during the lockdown. It was nearing the time to drive back to the Bernard Grocery on the banks of the San Bernard River for some of their lunch specials, before our drive back to Houston. While checking my emails I see there is one from Sportsmobile informing us that they are open for business again! As I read it aloud to Rebecca our faces explode into smiles! We quickly respond that yes, we are ready to come to the office at their earliest convenience. After trading a few emails Tuesday 5th May at 9:30 is settled upon for our appointment.
Well, we finally saw it. It is a beautiful machine. It is so hard to believe that our rolling ranch is actually at Sportsmobile in the final phase of construction. Our incredible journey will soon begin!
