Despite being the end of August the wildflowers up here in the cool mountains are still prolific. And we have enjoyed watching the birds while sitting on the porch of the lodge….colorful goldfinches, ruby-throated hummingbirds, juncos, towhees, and a cast of other characters….chipmunks and squirrels
