We stopped for lunch at Texas 1809 cafe just southeast of Lubbock in Slaton, Texas. We sampled Jager schnitzel, “sidewinder fries”, and other German inspired delights.
Crossing the town square Rebecca and Bill descended on the Slaton Bakery to get our breakfast for the morrow as well as some road cookies. Changing drivers we set off for a day that will live in infamy.
