Buck Pond State Park

Next on our journey we stopped at Buck Pond State Park for 2 nights. We decided we would rent a canoe here and paddle the lake. Here in these parts canoes and kayaks seem to outnumber the people! It was a beautiful lake to be out on. We were the only ones out there and it was very peaceful. The lake boasted an impressive beaver hut and at night we were serenaded to sleep by the mournful yet enchanting call of the loon.
